Okay, so when word came out that there was going to be a Dragonball movie a few years ago, that’s exactly what I expected - a live-action version of Dragonball. I was super pumped, I mean, how could they screw this up? The directors have an entire manga series AND television series to use as references, not to mention Toriyama’s not up to too much lately. What could possibly go wrong…Alas, Dragonball: Evolution is an abortion of a film.

The Episode of Bardock is freaking fantastic. However, after watching it, I’ve been left with a bit of a causality dilemma due to DBZs love of time travel paradoxes: Which came first, Bardock going Super Saiyan, or Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta?

Either way, I highly recommend it to anyone who even remotely likes Dragonball Z. Two Super Saiyan thumbs up!
